Why Work Here?
C from K is excited about supporting small developers in hidden places, and we need you to help us create a support system for entrepreneurs hoping to sell their goods somewhere they are not. Our fast growth is creating opportunities in both textile and international trade work, with travel opportunities around every corner.
Fast-paced, Meritocratic Environment
Though all of C from K is experienced, we don’t know everything. Our new hires will be asked for their input on a wide range of problems and everyone’s suggestions are equal, from the CEO down to our interns.
Though we’ve started small, we’re thinking big. C from K is about leveraging everything you have to maximize your impact and learn from your failures.
International Travel and Contacts
As an early employee, you’ll have the opportunity to join us on a visit to Kashmir and to locations of other in-development workshops. You’ll gain firsthand experience with international development and building relationships in unconventional environments.
We’re looking for a high-energy Sales Representative excited to take on responsibility in a wide-ranging, hands-on role. We offer a competitive salary and enormous opportunity for growth—you’re getting in on the ground floor. Remote OK, some travel expected. C from K is based in New York.
Your responsibilities will include:
Direct contact with buyers everywhere from small boutiques to massive department stores and owning their accounts
Representing Cashmere from Kashmir at trade shows, expos, and marts both in NYC and around the US
Communication with both C from K leadership and Kashmiri workshops about specific customer design requests
Your skills and qualifications:
You’re a hustler. You’re creative and you don’t stop when you’re told something is hard.
You have strong interpersonal skills, including with individuals who speak English only on a basic level (speaking additional languages, especially Urdu or Hindi, is an enormous plus)
You’re independent. You’ll have a lot of individual responsibility and will need to be confident in some unconventional business situations. Previous international solo travel experience is a plus.
You’re a self-starter. Most of your job will be done remotely, and you’ll need to be motivated and productive without visiting an office every day.
